School Shooting Bag Raises $26, 000+ | Brahmin Matches eBay Sale Price

Ginger Littleton
We recently told you the story of Ginger Littleton, the Florida school board member who auctioned off the Brahmin handbag she used to fend off a gunman at her local meeting. Now we can report that the auction raised more than $26, 000 for Salvage Santa, the charity headed by the security guard who eventually took the shooter down.

The crocodile embossed handbag with the fabulous story was won by an anonymous bidder from Arlington, Virginia. She paid $13, 100 for the faux exotic bag, but the good news doesn't stop there.

Brahmin, the label who made the now famous bag, heard about the story and decided to match the money raised by the auction.
"We applaud the outstanding bravery of all those present at the meeting, especially of Ginger Littleton," said James Bunn, chief marketing officer for Brahmin. "In recognition of Ms. Littleton’s tremendous courage in taking action by standing up for others while risking her own life by doing so, Brahmin is proud to support her wonderful initiative to raise funds for charity."
That means the auction raised $26, 000 for the local Florida children's charity, an impressive markup on the purse's original $345 price tag. How wonderful that something so positive could come out of such a harrowing situation!

Kendall Kollection Totes for Leukemia & Lymphoma Charity | Reusable Shoppers with Patterns Seen on Glee

Kendall Kollection TotesGleeks will know the Kendall Kollection from the brightly colored notebooks that McKinley High School students carry. Now designer Jackie McFee has expanded her line to include tote bags, all in the name of charity.
The brightly colored pink and purple totes are made from hardy polypropylene and feature the same patterns seen on the notepads. They're incredibly affordable at $2.99, but even though they don't cost a lot McFee still donates a portion of each sale to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The cause is one close to McFee's heart as her niece Kendall was diagnosed with leukemia four years ago. If you love the Kendall Kollection tote bags you can save money by buying them in bulk. A pack of two will set you back $4.99, or you can get 10 totes for just $16.99. That represents a saving of almost $13!
It's clear that McFee has worked hard to capture the imaginations of female fashion fans, but what a shame there are no masculine or unisex designs. I can't imagine my husband willingly carrying this shopper to our local grocery store!
