Fendi bags and not solo

Today we mark a Fendi Roman historian who is the leader in fashion. A name that is famous for its Fendi handbags, but also to the laboratory for fur, for the gigantic palace of Rome and shop for home furnishing line. Let us see directly from Fendi, the brand’s history:
In 1925 Edward and Adele Fendi opened in Rome, Via del Plebiscito, a small shop with bags attached laboratory fur. And ‘the second generation Fendi with Karl Lagerfeld to begin the process that will transform the fur immutable status symbol at the head of fashion, materials, tanning, coloring and unpublished work. Comes the double F logo, originally used as inner lining of suitcases, the line is launched ready-to-wear fur, followed by ready to wear. In the ’80s Fendi thus becomes a global lifestyle brand. Will then entering the Saddlery, which reflects the spirit of the artisan origins. Silvia Venturini Fendi becomes creative director of menswear and accessories. Among his greatest achievements the baguette, which will stand as the bag of worship, a collectible item, declined thereafter in over six hundred models. In 2004, acquisition by LVMH, has appointed Michael Burke as Managing Director. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the brand, opens Palazzo Fendi, Peter Marino concept store that combines creative at the same site offices and studios of fur, giving way to a series of unique events that consolidate the identity of the maison, from parade event on the Great Wall to the private concert by Amy Winehouse for opening the store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
For this spring / summer 2010 Fendi has launched a collection of bags from truly head turning, before all the Peekaboo Tapestry version of the Fendi spy bag it colorful and super fashion, not to mention the pink neoprene computer bag for all those who can not give up fashion even when they are at work.

Bag of the Week - Alexander Wang Darcy Slouchy Hobo

Bag of the Week - Alexander Wang Darcy Slouchy HoboOften times, when we choose to splurge on a fabulous handbag, we go for the safest color. The most versatile, the one that allows you to say, 'I can wear with anything.' Usually, that means black. Black is beautiful, timeless and classic, but it's black and probably similar to so many of the other purses you already have in your repertoire. Why not step outside the box this season and get super spendy on something slightly more eye-catching?

The Alexander Wang Darcy Slouchy Hobo in Mustard is the perfect piece. In a creamy chartreuse, this pebbled leather beauty is still as versatile as it's basic black counter-part. It's sure to add a pop of color to all the dark hues you've filled your closet with. Big and roomy with an over-the-shoulder strap, the hobo bag is embellished with brass hardware and etched over-sized studs at the bottom. So go ahead and get a little color crazy! You'll find yourself using this more than you think!

Ask the Snob: Need New Bag, Keep the Boyfriend

Dear Bag Snob,
I am sure you get lots of messages, but I was hoping you could briefly help me. My girlfriend wants to get a nice handbag and her birthday is coming up, I was hoping to get one as a gift. She likes her current bag which has enough room to hold her laptop, while at the same time is not an absolutely gigantic. She also like that it has outside pockets that she can easily slip her phone inside. I would like to get her something that is similar but with a more updated look. I would like to keep it around $500 but can go up to $1000 if it is a really great bag. Could you name a few?
Thanks for your help,
Ernie
Dear Ernie,
I love getting emails like this – I love helping out awesome boyfriends (and husbands!). Here are 3 bags that fit her lifestyle needs as well as your budget.
The Botkier James Hoboicon is a cool young updated everyday bag with a lot of exterior pockets, zipper embellishments are very current and the price fits nicely within your budget at $595.
Another option with outer zippers is the Leola Zip Hobo from Marc by Marc Jacobs for $498, it is edgy, uber functional and will actually fit a laptop.
Of course, I have to try and push your limit with the much covetedGivenchy Messenger, $1575. This can be worn cross body, definitely can fit all her work stuff and that outer pouch pocket is perfect for keeping the phone within reach.
